Bose SL2 wireless surround link Wireless audio delivery system for rear speakers

The SL2 wireless surround link solves the most common challenge of home theater setup: How to cleanly connect the rear surround speakers - without drilling through walls or floors or rearranging the room to hide wires. This revolutionary transmitter/receiver package eliminates the usual wiring from the front of the room to the rear speakers. Instead, the SL2 wireless link uses proprietary wireless technology to deliver the same high quality of a fully wired Bose home entertainment system. You experience all the immersive effects of surround sound, without all the wires. The transmitter and receiver work on a radio frequency signal effective from up to 30 feet in the same room. So you can hide them from view with no impact on audio transmission. And setup is quick and intuitive with color-coded connections. Simply connect the transmitter to your Acoustimass module, and the receiver to your rear surround speakers. Then plug both units into a wall outlet … and enjoy. The SL2 wireless surround link is compatible with all Lifestyle systems and all 5.1-channel Acoustimass home entertainment systems. It’s available this fall from Bose, the most respected name in sound.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Purchased For My Lifestyle 12 System
I recently moved to a new house, and didn’t want to drill holes in the walls or floor to get the wires to the back of the room. I was somewhat skeptical about this product and concerned with sound quality. However, I’m happy to say there is absolutely no difference between using the SL2 and hard wiring the rear speakers!

a) The system is made up of two receivers. They are both very small, and are easily concealable.

b) The front receiver plugs into the base module with 2 wires (left & right speaker wires)

c) The rear speakers plug into the rear receiver.

d) Installation complete!

This is an excellent product and I highly recommend it to all.

5 Stars Exactly what the doctor ordered!
After a recent house move I was forced to try and “hide” the surround sound wires for my LifeStyle 35 system rear speakers between the baseboards and carpet. This worked well until my youngest son started crawling and pulled the wires up.

After much searching around I decided that this system would be best and I am not disappointed. For owners of a Bose system, this is a snap to install. It comes complete with connections to your Acoustimass module, and new wires to connect from the remote unit to your speakers. No need to cut or strip wires and even has the right connections for Lifestyle “cube” speakers.

Without doubt, this is a perfect system when used as designed, within a decent-sized room for a home theatre system. My receiving unit is approximately 15 feet from the broadcast unit.

5 Stars State of the Art
A master piece for wireless Surround lovers, Flawless as always Bose

5 Stars As Good As Advertised
An excellent product, however, I was just a little disappointed that this is really only a partially wireless connection. While the SL2 saves the trouble of running a wire to the back of the room, you must still run wires to the speakers. That said, the connection is beyond easy and the sound quality is impeccable. I highly recommend this product.

5 Stars Great Sound
I am very pleased with this purchase. I shopped around quite a bit and overall I was most impressed with the Bose quality. For being an over the air signal the product works great!
