I bought the Panasonic KX-TG1033S with DECT after some research, and the other reviews are pretty much on target. The volume is a little low, but the range and clarity seem to be pretty good. For some reason I’m having a hard time getting it to accept a time input.

5 Stars A great phone for a great price
I have had the phone for about 1 month. The handsets have great clarity, but the answering machine can be a little hard to understand. Otherwise, this is a great phone which is very intuitive to operate. I previously had a Siemans cordless since this was one of the first phone systems that operated off a base. It had a better range than the Panasonic, I could get a signal up to 30 yards from my house, but I had trouble with the handset clarity.

I received my phones about 4 weeks ago and I am really pleased with the performance of the sets. Reception is clear and crisp on all 3 phones, handsfree is great. Menu features are easy to use.
